Alas the final reflection of my time in Seattle. Throughout my life, I have observed the importance of seeing a world outside of my own. It puts things into perspective and helps me not to freak out about the unimportant stuff. The timing of this post seems appropriate considering all of the recent events in the US. It was nice to have a break from my “world.”

Ivar’s Salmon House

This is a local seafood place famous for it’s “fish and chips” varieties. My little cousins enjoyed the salmon version while I preferred the traditional cod. Caught a glimpse of the draw bridge in action.

It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of dead crabs along the rocky shoreline. There was too much glare from the sun to take many pictures. I would love to own a house off the coast one day.

Seattle Tacoma International Airport aka SEATAC

I spent about 2.5 hours here; roaming about the artistically savvy airport. Beautiful artwork, live music and good food. My little cousin had her first communion scheduled that morning and I opted to head to the airport early rather than inconvenience my family.

Here is an excerpt from my traveling journal:

[4:30PM] the flight arrived in Denver, CO on time yet the connecting flight is delayed until 6:00PM. the ride was kind of uncomfortable because a ton of school aged kids were flying together but rather than doing group boarding or ANYTHING that ensure they sat together. The kids got on near last and wanted to sit in pairs….Not happening. unfortunately for my row the two boys asked were given aisle seats with two big ass adults squished on the interior seats. we made it, a little sore, but we made it. [7:30PM] After a turbulent takeoff and an hour into the flight, I sense an eagerness to get home. The patter of little feet dance on the back of my seat accompanied by little hands often making their way onto the top of my head. Parents, I say, control thy kid.

Welp that’s all folks! I’m really excited to share details from my Chicago trip three weeks ago. It will only be one post since this series took entirely too long. I have also been busy studying for the OAT and applying for Optometry school.
